Sire offer a pure and classic J-style bass in the form of the Marcus Miller V5. Besides the friendly look and familiar sound, this instrument offers a specifically warm and tight playing comfort that you probably wouldn't find with comparable models. The natural-feel of the C-profile neck is backed up by a modern profile fretboard radius and considerately rounded edges, while a pair of single-coil pickups amplify a quality of sound you'd usually have to pay twice the price for. All of this is customised using the tried-and-thoroughly-tested electronics layout.

Wat een top instrument! Deze bas is echt heel sterk voor de prijs die je betaalt.
Heerlijke sound, speelt ontzettend lekker en ziet er ook nog eens strak uit. Ik krijg meteen zin om te spelen zodra ik er maar naar kijk.
Nog geen echte minpunten kunnen vinden, tot zover alleen maar positief.
Als je op zoek bent naar een solide bas die je voorlopig niet hoeft te vervangen/customizen zou ik deze absoluut aanraden.
Als beginner is dit mijn eerste basgitaar: wat een mooi instrument! Niet alleen qua geluid maar ook zeker wat betreft het uiterlijk, mooi afgewerkt en bespelen kost veel minder moeite. Duidelijk een basgitaar van hoge kwaliteit tegen een aantrekkelijke (beginners-)prijs. Tot nu toe erg veel plezier mee!

This is an incredible bass, not only if we compare the quality to the price, but also over all. It's fairly light, the woods are beautiful, the neck is super comfortable and fast, the sound of the pickups is GREAT, great fingerstyle AND slap sound, magnificent harmonics, very nice tone control. The hardware (brigde, tuning keys...) is very good as well.
I opened it because it was not shielded, and the tone control made some buzz (this is common even in basses that cost 3 times this one, so not really a problem, I usually shield myself all the basses I buy). When I opened it to shield it I could see that the electronics job inside is VERY GOOD. The electric wires and the pots are of great quality and the electronic compartment is super tidy.
So, the only thing I had to do besides set it up to my taste (but the set up was already good for playing out of the box) was the shielding, the bass is a war machine.
If you are doubting if to buy a Sire bass because of all the active electronics options on the V3/V7 and so on models, THIS is the bass for you! I owned a V7 and it was a great bass, but too many knobs for me so I sold it! This one is PERFECT. It is really a beautiful instrument.

So good! This Bass looks and sounds amazing! They should hire a photographer to take better pictures because the ones on the site really don't do it justice. It's no lightweight though so be sure to get good strap to go with it too!
